Part of the third grade unit on sports is learning the body parts. We learn them through activities such as: playing Twister, labeling our friends, and playing "Simón Dice", or Simon Says. Last year I was surprised as everyone's favorite activity was singing the song "La Cabeza"(from the Sing, Laugh, Dance and Eat Tacos CD), which students asked to sing every class! This song teaches students to express different aches and pains in Spanish such as: "Me duele la garganta" (My throat hurts). The tune is so catchy that students can't seem to get it out of their heads! One third grade teacher called me on the phone one day so I could hear her students singing it in the middle of math class. ¡Ay! Here is a link to the youtube video that students request to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_PAr2I6zoA
